Our client in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for a CAE Engineer with a BS Degree. This is a contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Strength and Durability of vehicle bodies, closures and components by :
  • Combining finite element analysis, multibody dynamic simulation and fatigue analysis.
  • Work with cross functional groups to meet project milestones and targets.
  • Determine physical phenomena based on test results, measurements or simulation results to determine best structure or simulation method.
  • Work with related groups to develop light weight structures that meet durability, strength and other requirements.

Basics

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in reliability simulation (Body, Closure and Chassis) using Finite Element Analysis, Multibody Dynamics, Fatigue; demonstrated teamwork and leadership capability.
  • Enthusiasm.
  • Experience in fatigue, mechanics.
  • Experience using Nastran, Abaqus and Ansa.
