Payroll Specialist
Compiles payroll data, entry of data, and reconciliation of errors, prepares payroll reporting data for the payroll analyst to maintain payroll records.
Essential Functions :
- Researches required employee information using available resources.
- Handles and resolves employee payroll grievances.
- Ability to identify and escalate priority issues.
- Provides internal customer service by obtaining employee information and guiding towards a resolution.
- Must have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to recognize when follow-up is required with internal customer.
- Contact business or private individuals by phone.
- Must have strong listening skills.
- May be asked to perform various other clerical tasks.
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications :
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
Education :
High School Diploma required.Experience :
Minimum two years of phone or customer service related experience. Payroll experience preferred.Abilities :
Knowledge of computer software; MS Excel, Access, and Project, Infinium.Attention to detail and numerical skills.Excellent communication skills and attitude.
