Popejoy Plumbing, Heating & Electric has proudly served Illinois for over 40 years. We're expanding into the Bloomington-Normal area and looking for an experienced Plumber to join our founding team!

This is a rare opportunity to help launch a new shop, shape the team, and grow into leadership as the location expands.

Responsibilities

Install and repair plumbing systems including pipes and fixtures

Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems

Diagnose issues with plumbing systems and provide effective solutions

Collaborate with other technicians to ensure comprehensive service delivery

Maintain accurate records of work performed

Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations

Provide excellent customer service during all interactions

Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards

Qualifications

Valid plumbing license or certification

Proven experience as a plumber or similar role

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and tools

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills for customer interactions

Ability to lift heavy materials as needed

Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus
