Houston and Dallas, Texas

Hartline Barger LLP, a nationally recognized trial law firm specializing in civil litigation, is seeking attorneys with 4+ years of litigation experience to join our growing Houston and Dallas offices. Insurance Defense, Construction Defect and Personal Injury experience a plus.

Responsibilities :

Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial or settlement

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediation with witness responsibility

Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients

Advise clients on business and legal transactions

Negotiate settlements for legal disputes

Comply with all legal standards and regulations

Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing

Previous experience in a Law Firm environment

Ability to take and defend depositions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to build rapport with clients

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong academic and litigation background

Exceptional writing and advocacy skills

Independently manage a caseload - from beginning to end

Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on multitude of legal projects

Regularly handle court appearances and depositions

Take the lead with client communication and provide meaningful updates

4+ years experience with insurance defense, construction defect and personal injury preferred
