Registered Nurse – Trauma Operating Room

📍 Location : Miami, FL

🏢 Facility : HCA Florida Kendall Hospital

📅 Schedule : Full-Time

  • Nights (Rotating Weekends)

    • 📝 Position Overview

    This position plays a critical role in delivering patient-centered, high-quality perioperative care to trauma patients. The ideal candidate will bring proven trauma OR experience, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.

    🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to trauma patients in the operating room using the nursing process and critical thinking skills
  • Monitor and respond to patients’ conditions throughout surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain surgical asepsis and comply with safety protocols, infection prevention, and hospital policies
  • Serve as patient advocate throughout the operative experience

    • 📚 Qualifications

  • License : Registered Nurse (RN), Florida or Compact (per FL licensure requirements)
  • Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Certifications :

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years of trauma OR experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Other Requirements :

    • Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call obligations – this is mandatory

    💲 Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay : $39.57 – $53.34 (based on years of experience; max at 17+ years)
  • Sign-On Bonus (SOB) : May be offered on a case-by-case basis
