Role Overview
WSP has a career opportunity for a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer in Tempe, AZ to be involved in projects with our team and be part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. The ideal candidate is interested in learning and being engaged in a variety of projects, including municipal, industrial, and mining water and wastewater conveyance and treatment.
The primary focus of the position is project work for the development of engineering studies, design reports, construction documents, and construction oversight / administration related to water and wastewater infrastructure in the municipal and industrial markets in Arizona and across the country.
Your Impact
- Provide engineering services in support of planning, studies, analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment and collection / distribution systems, major / minor conveyance systems, water and wastewater modeling of existing and / or proposed systems including pump / lift stations, groundwater wells, chemical feed systems, and storage reservoirs.
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
- Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.
- Work with CAD designers to prepare plans / drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
- Occasional field work and travel to project sites in the US may be required; approximately 5% overnight travel.
Who Are You
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field. MS is a plus.Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience (may include post-graduate work).PE or PE eligibility desired; having an AZ PE is a plus.Demonstrated experience with engineering of multi-disciplined water / wastewater projects.Successful engineering project delivery.Proficiency in detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.Self-motivated, team-oriented, hardworking and intent on doing great work.Must pass background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy.About WSP
