Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 16 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent Level 1 trauma and Epic experience for a 16-week rotating shift assignment. Responsibilities Assignment is in a hospital Operating Room setting Requires ability to work both circulating and scrub nurse roles Patient population includes general OR cases as well as ortho, uro, oncology, Da Vinci robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma Candidates must be flexible to work rotating 10-hour shifts, including weekends and call as needed Staff are required to work 2 out of 4 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day No block schedules allowed Epic EMR is used; recent Epic experience required Orientation sessions are bi-weekly on Mondays Duties include circulating and scrubbing for a wide variety of surgical procedures Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended as public transportation is not available in the area Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November-April All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained Requirements Active RN license required; candidates without Vermont licensure must apply within 24 hours of accepting the position Candidates with pending NY RN licenses will be considered if proof is provided Current BLS certification required At least 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience is required Must have recent large trauma Level 1 experience Must have Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years Competency in both circulating and scrub roles required Strong experience with general OR procedures, ortho, urology, oncology, Da Vinci robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-598459.
