Assistant Project Manager

A well-established construction services firm based in the Chicagoland Area is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join its growing team. The company specializes in delivering high-quality commercial and industrial construction projects with a focus on safety, innovation, and client satisfaction.

Job Description

Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing construction activities. Monitor project progress and maintain accurate documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Support procurement and logistics of materials and equipment. Help maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in construction or project coordination preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar). Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. OSHA 10 / 30 certification is a plus.
