Job Summary

Provides maintenance, repair services and support to students in residence halls.

Responsibilities

1-Residence Hall Maintenance - 65%

• Maintains and repairs facility components and systems in the residence halls.
• Responds quickly and appropriately to all work orders, including emergency requests.
• Contacts and assists other facilities staff and outside contractors as needed.

2-Summer Maintenance - 25%

3-Assist the Technical Operations team and Grounds team with repairs and maintenance on residence halls - 5%

4-Assists with snow removal as needed to maintain safe access to residential areas - 5%

Travel : This position requires little to no travel.

Work Environment :

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and / or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Must be able to evaluate the exterior and interior cleanliness of buildings and inspect all types of custodial related or supported areas.

Complies with environmental health and safety requirements and procedures as outlined in University and State policies and directives.

This position may be required to enter active construction sites and may need to access areas of the university that vary in temperature.

This position may require exposure to chemicals and pesticides.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The job requires extended periods of sitting and traversing the Bethel Campus on a regular basis. Must be able to lift items weighing 50+ pounds. Expected Hours of Work :

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.

This position includes on-call responsibilities to respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of regular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
