What are the core responsibilities for the role?
Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projectsPerform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplinesApply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projectsPerform independent research and delegate changing prioritiesAdhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environmentWork in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work that is error-freeMaintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrityQualifications, Skills, and Competencies :
B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT2-4+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be consideredPassed Fundamentals of Engineering ExamHave a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesPrioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managersBe able to develop designs and documentation using MicroStation ORD or Autodesk Civil 3D or other design software (MicroStation ORD is preferred)Manage project data files from various sourcesBe proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually / remotelyAbility to travel and perform fieldwork on occasionMust be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing prioritiesWhy would a candidate want this job?
