Supplier Quality Administrator

Position Summary : Responsible for the supplier quality administrative duties including data collection, charting and analysis, report writing, updating and submitting supplier quality documents, filing program documents.

Duties :

  • Issue SQN and coordinate supplier visits for disposition of supplier fault non-confirming material.
  • Provide SQN's and samples of supplier defects to suppliers who choose not to have on-site review.
  • Coordinate and conduct review of supplier-fault customer returns with supplier.
  • Follow up on payment and closure of all supplier claims.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Accounting to ensure SQNs are submitted for all PTRs related to supplier quality issues (i.e. expedite charges, etc.)
  • Coordinate testing with internal lab as needed.
  • Maintain, update QAS database and SQN log.
  • Support all aspects of production with supplier issues.
  • Collaborates with Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve deviations from established specifications and quality standards.
  • Facilitates approval of boundary samples for items not currently documented.
  • Create and maintain supplier PDR (Product Design Record) as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering on Supplier PDR Creation.
  • Update monthly KPIs on Supplier Quality Scorecard.
  • Update and maintain supplier scorecards with all SQ teams globally.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Higher education beyond high school, preferred.
  • Three years working in a manufacturing environment, required. Automotive manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a quality role.
  • Basic AIAG or related quality system knowledge.
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong detail orientation skills.
