American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Dept position requiring Illinois RN licensure and EPIC charting experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an Emergency Department within a hospital settingLevel 1 trauma patient populationNight shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three 12-hour shifts per weekIncludes two 13-hour on-call shifts per 6-week schedule with one-hour onsite response requiredUses EPIC for charting, previous experience with EPIC requiredResponsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions in the Emergency DepartmentMaintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support care integrationCollaborates with providers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesAssumes responsibility for patient and staff safety, including reporting and correcting hazardsPromotes professional development through peer feedback and knowledge sharingHoliday coverage may be required based on department needsNo travel partners accepted for this assignmentRequested time off may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contractTravel assignments at this location are limited to one calendar year, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning\n \n Requirements\n
Active Illinois RN license or temporary license acceptedCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart AssociationMinimum one year of relevant emergency nursing experienceDocumented Level 1 Trauma experience requiredEPIC charting experience is mandatoryASN required; BSN preferredCandidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted\n Benefits\n
