Johnson County Mental Health is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of a Full-time, Behavioral Health Specialist for the Adult Crisis Stabilization Center, a new program at the Johnson County Mental Health Center. The unit has 24 / 7 operations and typically individuals stay in the program for up to 3-5 days. This position is eligible for a shift differential specific to overnight hours($1.50 / hr), weekend hours ($0.75 / hr), and evening hours ($0.75 / hr) . Posting will remain open until all positions are filled.

Two shift schedules are available for this position :

Overnight Shift

• Evening Shift : Tuesday through Saturday, 3pm-11pm

Minimum Job Requirements :

High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a human services field are required. A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is preferred.

Experience working with adults in a behavioral health setting is preferred.

Johnson County Government requires reference / background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department / Agency.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience working with individuals in a behavioral health and / or substance use setting is preferred.

Education / Experience Substitutions :

Education may be substituted for experience.

All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
