Anesthesia physician job in Pennsylvania :

UPMC North Central Pa. is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join our team of two physicians in Coudersport Pennsylvania. UPMC Cole is a modern, progressive 25-bed critical access hospital located on a large, well-maintained campus with a service area covering 55,000 people living in six counties in North Central Pennsylvania and Western New York. The physicians in this rural community are highly esteemed and treated very well by their employer, which boasts an impressive physical plant and welcoming staff with great personalities. The organization is very fair and friendly in nature, offering robust compensation packages. Must be BC / BE and have an MD or equivalent with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license. Opportunity Details

• Joining a team of 2 anesthesiologists and 4 CRNAs. Call is 1 : 3.
• Seeking a physician who will thrive as part of a small, well-trained and experienced medical staff
• Administration of anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories : (1) pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence, (3) post-anesthesia care; and (4) peri-anesthesia clinical support functions.
• Perform responsibilities according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Review appropriate documentation for informed consent and identify the appropriate surgical site with operating room staff and surgeon in accordance with departmental and regulatory compliance standards.
• UPMC Cole has four (4) operating room suites, an endoscopy lab, and a minor procedure room. The 5,500 surgical procedures performed annually are derived from orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, pain management, OB / GYN, podiatry, urology, and gastroenterology
