Group Therapist

Grasshopper Group, a program of CFS, Corp., is seeking a compassionate and skilled Group Therapist to join our growing team. We are a Medicaid-based program dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible behavioral health services to individuals and families in rural Indiana. Our work is rooted in creating safe and trauma-informed programs where clients can heal, grow, and connect with others through meaningful therapeutic experiences.

About the Role

As a Group Therapist, you will primarily facilitate Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOT) groups, supporting clients who need a higher level of care than traditional outpatient counseling. IOT at Grasshopper Group focuses on building coping strategies, addressing behavioral health challenges, and supporting recovery in a structured, group-based setting. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and help clients move toward stabilization and long-term wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate IOT group sessions multiple times per week, following program guidelines and evidence-based practices.
• Assess client needs and adapt group interventions to promote skill-building, resilience, and recovery.
• Monitor client participation and progress, providing individual support as needed within the IOT framework.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid, IOT program standards, and state regulations.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and community providers to coordinate care and referrals.
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

Current licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in Indiana, or eligibility for licensure.

Experience facilitating group therapy required, IOT or higher-level care experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based practices.

Strong communication, organization, and crisis-management skills.
