Schedule : Monday–Friday with rotational weekends

Job Summary :
The Medical Technician (Traveler) performs routine and moderate-complexity laboratory tests under the supervision of Medical Technologists and Laboratory Supervisors. This role is responsible for accurate specimen handling, testing, and result documentation , ensuring adherence to all laboratory quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates precision, clinical judgment, and a commitment to maintaining quality control and regulatory compliance in a high-volume diagnostic setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform routine laboratory testing following established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
Set up and monitor automated and manual testing equipment .
Analyze patient specimens using approved procedures and release accurate test results.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety protocols.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all testing, quality control, and maintenance activities .
Identify, document, and communicate any issues affecting test performance or reporting accuracy.
Conduct and document corrective actions when testing deviates from standard specifications.
Ensure reagents and test kits are properly labeled and tracked with open and expiration dates .
Participate in training, safety sessions, and department meetings as required.
Assist with moderate-complexity testing upon successful completion of site-specific training.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within laboratory work areas.
Required Experience & Education :
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Science , or equivalent work experience.
1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of specimen handling, testing methodologies, and data documentation.
Proficient in laboratory instrumentation and quality control procedures.
Excellent multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
