As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you'll play a vital role in transforming the lives of patients with kidney disease. You'll be an essential member of a dedicated team, providing compassionate care and support under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).

Your Role in Patient Care :

In this position, you'll work closely with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and top-notch dialysis treatments. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Gathering and monitoring patient vital signs before and after treatment.
  • Initiating and terminating treatment sessions.
  • Collecting blood samples following physician instructions.

Technical Duties :

You will ensure quality in patient care by :

  • Preparing and disinfecting dialysis machines.
  • Conducting safety checks and logging results for regulatory compliance.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

    • Your Commitment to Safety and Quality :

    Working alongside a Charge Nurse, you will prioritize patient safety by utilizing appropriate protective equipment and following all company policies, state, and federal regulations. Your active participation in staff meetings and ongoing education will be crucial.

    Qualifications We Seek :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for healthcare and helping patients in need.
  • Previous experience in healthcare settings like dialysis or phlebotomy is a plus.
  • Comfort and safety in handling chemicals as per protocols.
  • Ability to distinguish primary colors for equipment monitoring.

    • Additional Requirements :

  • Successful completion of the USRC training program within 8 weeks following hire.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days or as mandated by the state.
  • Patient Care Technician certification is necessary within 18 months of hire, with ongoing maintenance of certification.
