Description

As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for the set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist / leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a respiratory caregiver, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Manager. It also extends on a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides.

Job Type : Non-Exempt, Full / Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm with on-call responsibilities.

Location : Lenexa, KS and surrounding areas up to 50-mile radius.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School
• Must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standing
• Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company's expense
• Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
• At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required
• Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable
• RRT certification required
• Current CPR- BLS certification required
• Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner

This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all, maneuver in small areas and frequently lift and / or move 30 pounds or more.
