Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time itinerant teaching position focuses on supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) within a K-12 school setting. The role is based in Fairfax, VA, and spans the duration of the school year. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and services tailored to meet the academic and munication needs of students with hearing loss.

Key responsibilities include :

• Delivering individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals
• Collaborating with general education teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Utilizing specialized strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and learning
• Conducting regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Providing support and training to families to promote effective munication and advocacy
• Consulting with school personnel regarding best practices for acmodating students with hearing impairments
