The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Fitness Instructor.

  • Teach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants.
  • Implement fitness programs based on the National Association and branch YMCA standards.
  • Promote programs to members and participants.
  • Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations, and report incidents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Follow and enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Hiring Criteria

The minimum qualifications required for this position are :

  • Education & Certifications : CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Specific certifications such as Yoga, Pilates, Les Mills, Zumba, Cycle are preferred. SGX Spartan Coach Certification is a plus.
  • Experience & Background : At least 2 years of Group Exercise Instruction experience.
