Experience with Water / Wastewater highly preferred. Experience within an Engineering and / or an integration firm highly preferred. PLC and HMI experience required. Excellent communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs. Expert knowledge of 3D and 4D design practices. Pay Range Minimum : $81,765 Pay Range Maximum : $134,909 Additional Compensation : All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position. Work Location Options : Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate. Overview
CDM Smith is hiring Automation and Instrumentation & Controls Professionals! Are you a motivated self-starter? Are you passionate about SCADA programming process control system design? Are you looking to join a company that values career growth and offers a supportive work environment?
We have multiple openings for Automation and Instrumentation & Controls Specialists to support our public, private and federal clients locally and around the world with all phases of SCADA automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Creates basic to moderately complex instrumentation, controls and related systems designs using 3D and 4D design practices. Assists with specification development. Creates basic to moderately complex human-machine interface (HMI) graphics, programmable logic controller programming (PLC), report development, etc. Assists with testing and startup of control systems.
- Reviews basic to highly complex component level shop drawings, contractor clarifications. Assist with testing oversight.
- Leads staff and provides direction and mentoring for junior staff. Reviews the work of junior staff as necessary.
- Under general supervision, assists in the preparation of proposal sections and presentations. Supports marketing and new business activities as requested in support of the Automation strategy. May participate in proposals.
- Performs other duties as required.
