Job Title : General Production Worker

Job Description

In the role of a General Production Worker within our Digital Department, you will be responsible for setting up and monitoring a digital press machine. This position involves less manual labor compared to traditional printing presses. You will receive training on how to load paper rolls without the need for lifting, enter orders into a computer, and oversee the production process. Your duties will include light lifting, counting, and stacking products. Computer skills are required, equivalent to opening a PDF or an email. The job primarily involves standing and observing the machine’s operation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and monitor digital press machine.
  • Load paper rolls and enter orders into the computer.
  • Count and stack products at the end of the machine.
  • Perform light lifting up to 20 lbs regularly.
  • Ensure the machine runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Volunteer for overtime if desired, with mandatory overtime being rare.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to operate a computer for basic tasks.
  • Capable of counting to ten.
  • Must have at least one year of experience with a single employer.
  • Provide references for attendance with previous companies.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in printing (Press, Digital, or Flexo) is an advantage.

    Work Environment

    The work takes place in a large, well-maintained production facility that is air-conditioned during the summer and heated in the winter. Humidity is controlled to maintain product quality. The environment is loud, well-lit, and kept clean for frequent client tours. The dress code requires long hair to be tied back, no dangly jewelry, and close-toed shoes. Clothing with profanity is not allowed.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartland, Wisconsin.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 / hr.
