The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting for a general dentist for a community health center in Des Moines, IA .
Position Details :
- Eligible for student loan repayment up to $50,000 for two years of service (and renewal possible)
- Clinic Hours : Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM; no weekends
- Avg # of pts seen per day : 13 with additional hygiene checks
- Number of operatories : 9
- Laboratory : external laboratories used for fixed and removable prosthodontic cases
- X-ray : Digital
- Current Staff : 1 FT General Dentist, 1 FT Hygienist, 2 PT Hygienists
- Call Schedule : After 6 months of employment, dentists are expected to take call in 2 week increments approximately 3x / year. Not required to go into clinic while on call.
- Electronic record system : Epic Wisdom
- Additional info : diverse patient population with many Spanish-speaking patients
Requirements
DDS / DMD degree from an approved dental schoolCurrent license to practice dentistry in the state of IowaCurrent license to prescribe narcotics used in patient care (DEA & CSA)Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers CertificationEligible for hospital privilegesAbility to consistently meet the departmental work schedule as designatedAbility to treat patients of all ages within the scope of general dentistryAbility to perform surgical extractionsAbility to perform anterior root canalsIdeal Qualifications :

Your experience and skills determine your base pay.
