Responsibilities Work in the Cath Lab of a short-term acute care teaching hospital Assignments involve diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Patient ratio is 1 : 1 Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week (7 : 00–17 : 30) Cerner is used for charting; previous Cerner experience is preferred but not required Scrubs are provided by the unit First-time travelers with the required specialty experience will be considered No holiday time off (RTO) will be approved during the contract Travelers are allowed a maximum of 3 days off within the contract for perioperative units A minimum of 1 year must have elapsed since prior employment at the health system to return as a traveler Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a lower pay rate Parking is available at cost Required training modules must be completed before start and during orientation Requirements Active DC RN license required at time of consideration Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab, Interventional Vascular Lab, or Interventional Radiology RN experience Ability to assist with central line insertion and management, IV starts, dysrhythmia interpretation / management, isolation precautions, procedural sedation monitoring, ventilator monitoring, and PA line monitoring Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Two references from supervisor required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622048.
