Are you passionate about building a more sustainable future? Sonepar is looking for a Sustainability Manager reporting to the VP, General Counsel, Sustainability to help us achieve our sustainability goals and promote sustainability within our operations. In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring our commitment to environmental and social responsibility is not just a promise, but a reality. You will provide sustainability insights for our operations and sales teams, support sustainability initiatives across the organization, manage emissions reporting and maintain critical data on third-party platforms, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist in implementation of emission-reduction initiatives.

This position is based in our Charleston, SC corporate office and is hybrid, with three days per week in office.

What You'll Do

• Driving Internal Initiatives : Develop and implement sustainability initiatives across the organization, including emissions reduction, waste reduction, and efficient water and energy usage. Support progress toward science-based emission-reduction targets and renewable energy goals.
• Partner with Leadership, Operations, and Sales : Support local operations and sales personnel, as well as corporate leaders. Educate personnel on behaviors and tasks necessary for environmental compliance. Create environmental solutions to support business needs, identify environmental risks, and develop strategies to minimize their impacts. Manage the use of consultants to improve returns and minimize costs.
• Supporting ESG and Reporting : Assist with data collection and calculations for key reports, including the CSR Report and GHG emissions reporting. Coordinate responses to sustainability questionnaires and customer inquiries and develop new solutions for tracking and measuring carbon emissions and sustainability data.
• Ensure Regulatory & Compliance : Stay aware of emerging regulatory requirements and advise on compliance and reporting obligations.
