Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects with a focus on insulated metal panel systems, including refrigerated warehouses, food processing plants, and mission-critical facilities. This role bridges field operations and office administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing the installation of insulated metal panels (IMPs) and cold storage systems.
- Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment rentals, and labor across multiple job sites.
- Track and report project budgets, expenditures, and payroll submissions.
- Prepare and process change orders with general contractors for additional time and materials.
- Support the creation and editing of shop drawings for IMP installation.
- Compile documentation for project estimates and bid submittals.
- Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for upper management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with site superintendents, foremen, vendors, and clients.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of commercial construction experience.Experience with Bluebeam and Bluebeam Revu.Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulatory compliance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and schematics.Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, with a preference for cold storage or metal panel systems.Experience in commercial building and metal fabrication.Work Environment
The position involves working onsite on large-scale industrial projects including refrigerated warehouses, food processing plants, and mission-critical facilities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
