About The Position
Weekly Pay # Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Georgian Gardens Care Center, Potosi, MO
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in skilled nursing facility residents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote resident independence, safety, and quality of life.
- Provide direct therapy services for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive evaluations and swallow assessments; recommend diet modifications as needed.
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge summaries per regulatory and facility standards.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy interventions, communication strategies, and safe swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and contribute to resident-centered care planning.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and clinical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFYs) and / or SLP Assistants (SLPAs) as applicable.
- Work within a skilled nursing / long-term care environment, often with residents with complex medical needs, as part of a collaborative team.
