MRO Specialist
Location : Ripon, WI
Hours : 8am-5pm
Hourly Pay : $23-26 / hr, depending on experience
About the Role :
We are seeking an organized and proactive MRO Specialist to join a growing food manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll ensure equipment and assets are always ready to perform by managing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities. You’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by managing inventory, coordinating repairs, and maintaining vendor relationships. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in procurement, inventory management, or maintenance operations to grow their career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do :
Coordinate and oversee MRO inventory : order, receive, track, and stock spare parts and tools.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to fulfill part requirements for repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS or similar system.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to prevent shortages and reduce excess.
Assist in developing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Ensure safety compliance in handling equipment and materials.
Generate reports on MRO costs, inventory usage, and vendor performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices and inventory control.
What We’re Looking For :
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in MRO, maintenance planning, or procurement (industry experience a plus).
Knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices, inventory systems, and vendor management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Infor).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regular exposure to manufacturing or shop floor environments.
Occasional travel to vendor or other company sites, if applicable.
