Position
The Imaging Engineer II installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of complex medical imaging equipment including, but not limited to, general radiographic rooms, R / F, portables, C-arms, mammography, Nuclear Medicine, CR, DR, ultrasound, bone density, and supporting equipment. The role requires familiarity with many classes of clinical equipment and may involve maintenance outside these areas. The Imaging Engineer ensures regulatory compliance, assists in inventory management, and may advise TriMedx personnel on technical matters concerning specialty equipment. Responsibilities
Technical Service – 40%
Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex medical imaging equipmentRepair, install, and calibrate complex medical imaging equipmentInform supervisors of repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concernsCoordinate and document activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service deliveryMaintain Clinical Engineering expertise through ongoing training and educationSupport Service Operations Special Projects and mentor others by sharing expertiseRegulatory Compliance – 25%
Maintain accuracy of the equipment database (inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, service history)Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and other regulatory requirementsEnsure service documentation is complete, timely, and accurateCollaborate with Medical Physicist to ensure aligned radiation outputs for regulatory compliance and patient safetyAccount Relationship Management – 25%
Build and maintain customer relationshipsDiscuss equipment status and functionality with cliniciansAlign with the organization's Mission, Vision, and ValuesRepresent TriMedx positively by integrating core values into performanceInventory – 10%
Conduct periodic inventory inspections and maintain common spare parts to ensure uptimeVerify security analysis for new customer equipmentPerform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain accurate inventory of devices, including trial / evaluation, rental, and loaner equipmentMaintain accuracy of the equipment database (inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, service history)Recommend inventory improvementsAll other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipmentManual dexterity for installation, servicing, and maintenance tasksPhysical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, and maneuver equipmentProficiency with hand and / or foot-operated tools and electronic test equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsValid driver's license; travel may be required depending on the primary siteEducation and Qualifications
2-year technical / electronics degree or equivalent experience; waiver if TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification is heldAbility to interpret error codes, repair components, and manage computer systemsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applicationsStrong problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skillsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsTravel may be required based on customer or business needsTRIMEDX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
