Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in a perinatal setting requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP, and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a perinatal unit with 6 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 5 postpartum / WHS rooms, and 2 NICU beds
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend schedule required
  • Caseload averages 80-90 births per month
  • May be required to float to Mother Baby unit
  • Charting uses Centricity with medication documentation in Paragon
  • Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No floating to other units and no charge responsibilities
  • Unit team does not assign charge duties to travelers
  • Supportive perinatal and mother-baby team structure
  • No requirement to float outside of perinatal and mother-baby units

    • Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
  • Previous labor and delivery experience is required
  • Familiarity with Centricity and Paragon charting systems is preferred
