About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years Med / Tele experience preferred

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

Minimum of 2 years of Med / Tele experience

Ability to float as needed within the designated region

General Med / Tele skill set including stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain / tube management, foley insertion, and PCA pumps

Description :

Position requires working as a Med / Tele RN.

Travelers will be hired to cover ED Holds and will be cross-trained to assist in the Emergency Department.

Common patient diagnoses may include stroke, CHF, electrolyte imbalance, arrhythmias, respiratory arrest, sepsis, COPD, falls, and motor vehicle collisions.

Patient ratios will be RN 1 : 5 maximum, depending on acuity, and CNA 1 : 7.

Support will include CNA, receptionist, charge nurse, phlebotomy for peripheral blood draws, and an IV / VAT team during specified hours.

Technology utilized includes an EMR system, IV pumps, and bedside monitors.

Floating may be required to meet regional needs.

Weekend rotation will be every other weekend with no call for travelers.

Travelers will be expected to work 75% of holidays.

Requests for days off can be approved up to a maximum of 6 days, excluding holidays.
