Bauer Builders, Inc. is looking for a Carpenter / Union Carpenter (If not in the Union we will indenture you in the Union) who will be performing skilled carpentry work including constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Work is performed on commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, partitions, and frameworks.
  • Perform layout and framing of walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and hardware.
  • Handle and install drywall, acoustical systems, insulation, and floor coverings.
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and site-specific rules.
  • Collaborate with other trades and follow direction from foremen and supervisors.
  • Participate in required skill advancement training and continuing education.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must have a smartphone for clocking In & Out.
  • Must be a member of or willing to join the NCSRCC (Local 314).
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with various tools and materials including wood, metal, plastic, and composites.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and provide documentation for I-9 verification.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within the union’s jurisdiction.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Competitive hourly wage as per the current wage schedule (union scale).
  • Fringe benefits offered through Local 314 include health insurance, pension (defined benefit and contribution), training fund, and savings plan.
  • Premiums for foreman and sub-foreman roles.
  • Regular hours : Monday - Friday 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.. Overtime pay for hours beyond standard workday / week, weekends, and holidays.
  • Paid training and certification opportunities through CTI and other approved providers.
