We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in financial statements, corporate reporting, credit card reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries. The successful candidate will also handle monthly AR invoicing and collections. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your core responsibilities will include :
1. Preparing and analyzing financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
2. Ensuring timely and accurate corporate reporting, and providing insights on financial status and risks.
3. Performing credit card reconciliations and managing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Recording, reviewing, and approving journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
5. Handling monthly AR invoicing and collections, and maintaining an accurate aging report.
6. Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
7. Assisting with financial and tax audits, and coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
8. Complying with all internal controls, company policies, and procedures, including those related to fraud prevention and ethical conduct.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you will need :
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation.
4. Proficiency in corporate reporting and account reconciliations.
5. Experience with credit card reconciliations and journal entries.
6. Proven ability to handle monthly AR invoicing and collections.
7. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly desirable.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
