Construction Laborer

Responsibilities

Perform general construction labor duties.

Work closely with landscape crews to move materials at the site.

Ensure the proper handling of tools and materials.

Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to safety regulations.

Essential Skills

1+ years of experience in construction labor or landscaping, validated with references.

Valid driver's license and personal transportation.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Capability to lift over 50 lbs regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of landscaping and lawn care.

Experience with construction and concrete work.

Work Environment

You will be engaged on commercial job sites, enduring all weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain. The company culture emphasizes a family atmosphere with a small, tight-knit team of 12-14 employees. Crews typically consist of 2-4 members, depending on the project size. Work hours are from 7 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, starting at the shop before heading to job sites. A steel toe boot and pants are required, and personal hand tools including a tape, hammer, and tool bags are necessary. The company provides PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and high-visibility shirts or vests.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
