Job Summary

The QA Engineer will work closely with developers to ensure changes to the platform do not break the business. The right candidate understands testing is very important, but is one of many ways to ensure that features, bug fixes, and refactor do not break the business. This person also understands that producing software is about managing risks.

Key Responsibilities :

You will be part of the development team and have the opportunity to influence the design of systems and features as it relates to quality and correctness.

You will :

  • Manually test developers features and fixes :

Frontend changes

  • Backend changes
  • Customer API changes
  • Create automated regression and integration tests
  • Influence how features and platform changes are designed and implemented by

    • Understanding projects from a business perspective

  • Understanding how the platform works
  • Conduct post release checks like other members of the development team

    • Ideal Candidate Will Have :

  • 2+ years of professional experience as QA engineer in web development
  • Experience building automated tests
  • Experience creating well written bug reports

    • Additional Pluses :

  • Experience working at startups
  • Knows how to use SQL
  • Experience writing automated tests in Ruby
  • Experience testing Ruby on Rails applications
