Job Summary
Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor / Assistant Payroll Supervisor, performs payroll functions including entering, reviewing, and reconciling timesheets and associated reports. Processes bi-weekly payroll for assigned groups, including Quarterly Judges. Processes all accrual adjustment forms for the entire Cook County organization. Investigates, calculates, and reviews all back pay / settlement documents sent to the Comptroller's office. Calculates military leave pay for all active Armed Forces members. Reconciles, balances, and transmits the bi-weekly Pension and Deferred Comp files. Assists with investigating and resolving payroll issues. Assists with the payroll tax reconciliation, filing and year-end processes, as well as with the maintaining of payroll policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
