About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 12.5

Experience : 3 years current pediatric experience; adult medical-surgical experience preferred

License : Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License required

Certifications : ACLS, PALS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Must have own vehicle
• Permanent address must be included in the profile
• Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred
• BSN preferred

Description :

This position is for a pediatric unit with a small census.

The patient ratio will be 1 : 3.

The maximum number of patients is 3.

There will be no second nurse scheduled for the unit.

The unit does not operate as a pediatric intensive care unit.

Backup support is available.

Travelers will receive a security badge with a panic button for immediate assistance.

The environment is designed to address the unique needs of children and adolescents.

Family involvement in patient care is highly emphasized.

Parents have the option of "rooming in" with their child during hospital stays.

To enhance the patient experience, a variety of games and videos are available, as well as a playroom for non-contagious patients.

Dependability and reliability are critical due to the small size of the unit.

Requested time off must be noted and verified upon submission.

A maximum of 3 days of requested time off will be accepted.

No local travelers residing within 50 miles will be considered.

Only one holiday off will be approved, and it should align with specific holiday coverage dates.

Please note that extensions requested to end in November or before the holiday season will not be considered.
