Courtyard by Marriott Corvallis managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality (NSH) is currently interviewing people for an Assistant Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager!

Summary of position : This position is responsible for assisting management with the planning and execution of the daily activities associated with Maintenance Department activities. This includes, but is not limited to all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment with particular attention to safety, guest satisfaction, security, asset protection and maintaining standards as required. This position is also expected to supervise the day-to-day operations, recommend, and implement procedural changes and monitor and control expenses.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred

Must have at least 1 or more years of experience in maintenance / facility management fields

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills

Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality

Comprehensive knowledge of facility management trades and practices with basic knowledge / understanding of hotel equipment; cleaning chemicals and compounds; proper methods of cleaning / maintaining linens, carpets, draperies, wood, marble, ceramic tile, vinyl tile, porcelain, and other hard surfaces on the job.

Comprehensive knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical and mechanical work, and painting.

Paid Holidays - 6 Paid Holidays after one year of service (upon hire for salaried team members)

Paid Time Off - (PTO) is available to all Team Members after one full year of service. You begin accruing from day one! The amount of PTO you can accrue increases the longer you work with us.

Sick Leave - Available for Team Members employed in Oregon or Washington after 90 days of employment.
