Job Details : Purpose

To provide journey-level skills to perform work in a variety of trades required for the maintenance, repair, and operation of Microelectronics Research (MER) facilities and equipment. Responsible for the fabrication, installation, operation, and routine or emergency maintenance and / or repair of MER facilities. Performs journey-level work in a particular area of expertise. Performs related duties as required. May assist with time and material estimates and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

Provide installation support for office, facility, cleanroom and lab equipment, with concentration on electrical, plumbing, exhaust, and house gases connections.

Maintenance, operation and repair of facility systems supporting MER cleanroom and lab.

Diagnostics and repair of components related to the following systems : electrical, process exhaust, HVAC equipment and controls, deionized water, acid neutralization, process cooling water, house vacuum, process vacuum, and clean dry air compressors.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED.

At least 5 years of experience building construction, mechanical, or utilities trade specified with at least 3 of those years being journey level experience.

Experience with tools and equipment common to the trades specified.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

SCBA certified or able to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Ability to participate in MER emergency response team.

Experience working in or supporting cleanrooms.

More than five (5) years of journey level HVAC experience

Licensed by the State of Texas as a journey level electrician .

Electric al experience installing conduit, wiring, controls, repair of multiple electrical systems in commercial and residential.

Salary Range

$60,000 + depending on qualifications
