Job Details
A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced NICU RN for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, STABLE, NRP and WA License.
Pending license needed to submit. Temp license takes approximately 4 weeks.

Schedule Information
Shifts : 12 hour shifts. 0700-1930, 1900-0730.
Flexibility with scheduling as long as it meets the needs of the department.
Weekend Requirement : Every other. Days (Sat and Sun) Nights (Fri and Sat)
Holidays : Rotate in with perm staff.
Unit Specific Information
Must be experienced with postpartum couplet care to include experience with well newborns and maternal care.
Additional Details
Traveler MUST be competent in couplet care in Post partum & can attend Deliveries
Unit – Special Care Nursery RN / NICU level : Level II NICU - Special care Nursery level II down to 32 weeks

Neonatologist in house : NNPs (Neonatal Nurse Practitioner) 24 / 7
IV Team : Yes
RT 24 / 7 : RT in-house 24 / 7
Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Pharmacy in-house 24 / 7
Floor specific orientation : An 8 hour day for compliance with manager, 8 hour EPIC class. 2X - 3 12 hour shifts for unit specific orientation.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Specialized care for babies born with low birth weight, prematurity, & those recovering from serious conditions : respiratory conditions, hemodynamic issues, no surgeries, no Ecmo Bubble cpap, tube feeds, feeders and growers, substance abuse babies. Below 33 weeks stabilize and transfer. 32 weeks. must be experienced with stabilization / attending high and low risk deliveries and transitioning newborns.
