Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Full-Time at Finni Health (YC W23)

Location : Elwood, IN

Compensation : $18 - $22 / hour

Hours : ~40 hours per week

Schedule : Monday-Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in Anderson, IN. This role involves working one-on-one with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans, and supporting skill development under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans for children and adolescents in a home setting under the guidance of a BCBA
  • Support behavior management strategies, ensuring consistency and adherence to treatment plans
  • Assist in creating client materials to support intervention goals
  • Communicate daily activities and progress accurately with parents / caregivers
  • Maintain accurate data collection and timely documentation of clinical services
  • Confidently manage clients with a history of severe aggressive behavior, using appropriate de-escalation and safety strategies
  • Remain calm and professional during instances of physically or verbally aggressive behavior
  • Maintain a reliable and consistent schedule with families to ensure effective therapy implementation
  • Follow BACB ethical guidelines and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active RBT certification (required)
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or related fields
  • Previous experience working with individuals who exhibit aggressive or high-intensity behaviors
  • Training or familiarity with crisis management, safety care, or similar behavior intervention protocols is preferred
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Passion for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential
  • Ability to work independently in-home with minimal supervision

  • Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a client home environment – employees must be comfortable working in various home settings
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and move comfortably in client homes
  • Must be able to respond quickly and safely in situations involving physical aggression or elopement
