About the Role

We are seeking a Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering, a thorough understanding of the Work-In-Progress (WIP) process, and the ability to lead construction projects from start to finish with efficiency, accuracy, and financial discipline. You will be responsible for managing drainageway improvements, stormwater infrastructure, erosion control, site development, flatwork, and structural concrete projects throughout Colorado.

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Perform cost engineering functions including forecasting, tracking project costs, and identifying variances.
  • WIP reporting to ensure accurate financial performance tracking.
  • Coordinate the purchasing and ordering of project materials
  • Lead subcontractor selection, negotiation, and coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure all safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on budget and schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the construction industry (commercial, industrial, or civil).
  • Strong background in cost engineering and project financial management.
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage structures, erosion control, water quality basins, structural concrete, and flatwork. Preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience with WIP reporting and construction accounting processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software (HCSS HeavyJob, Sage Paperless).
