Position Overview\n

Green Bay Packaging - Twin Town Division is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Design team.  We are seeking a detail oriented, customer focused team member.  The position works closely with sales and other internal departments.

\n

\nResponsibilities\n

\n

  • Design and develop new and revised packaging, while offering improvements for cost reduction, performance enhancements

\n

  • Produce samples and small production runs of prototypes on the CAD table for testing purposes; writing and transmitting specs as requested - Improve existing packaging with innovative solutions, this will include customer site visits and the ability to perform packaging audits at their location
  • \n

  • Coordinate with tooling suppliers
  • \n

  • Travel with Sales Reps to Customer locations when required
  • \n

  • Develop strong, internal working relationships to support and promote efficient and accurate responses to Customers, Sales, and Operations departments
  • \n

  • Assist with routine lab functions
  • \n

    \nQualifications\n

    \n

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications : - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Degree in Packaging / Industrial design preferred) or 2-5 years as a designer. - Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills along with the ability to work closely with internal and external customers - In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications, CAD, Artios CAD, Cape Pack, and / or TOPPS and cutting table - Knowledge of box plant machinery, tooling, and processes including scoring, machine capabilities / limitations, spec sheets and drawings - Knowledge of various paperboard stocks, board grade combinations, corrugation, and printing processes - Experienced in operating sample cutting tables - Good knowledge of corrugated industry, working POP knowledge is desired - Strong cognitive and math skills - Demonstrated ability to think in 3D - Detail oriented - Must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a Team environment - Able to multi-task in a fast -paced environment

    In addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, LTD, life insurance, and company matching 401(k).  The salary range for this position is $22-25 / hr depending on experience.
