Sequoias Community College District is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution offering opportunities in transfer, general education, career, and technical programs. Part-Time Adjunct pools are used to teach Physical Science within the Science Department on a continuous basis; screening committees review candidates and meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. Applications remain in the pool for consideration until needs arise, or for one year in active status.

PART-TIME ADJUNCT POOLS

Part-Time Adjunct Faculty assignments may include weekend and / or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. If you submit a duplicate application, only your most recent will remain active for one year. Part-Time Adjunct faculty positions are temporary positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students. The majority of our departments require the ability to teach face-to-face classes. Current course listings can be found in the Academic Catalog. Adjunct faculty will also collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for all disciplines may be found within the "Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges".
