Shift Lead
$14-18 / hr + tips includes average tips
POSITION SUMMARY : In the absence of the store manager, the shift leader effectively leads the team to execute great customer service and follows operating policies and procedures. The shift leader reports to the general manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead team members on shifts, including assigning positions and delegating shift tasks, while providing training, feedback and coaching.
- Lead crew members to open, transition, and close shifts.
- Transition opening / closing duties completing the proper checklists as needed.
- Manage and organize the line and delegate duties to team members.
- Work the line in various crew member positions as needed throughout the shift.
- Uphold and support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures.
- Ensure all security procedures are executed (safe procedures, open / close procedures etc.).
- Make customers really happy by ensuring the team is providing great customer service.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints.
- Know and uphold standards for product quality.
- Execute and support all food safety requirements and practice.
- Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash on the shift.
- Count cash drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures.

Great communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and co-workersPossess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.Must be a strong team player with the ability to train and coach others.EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have at least 1-2 years of restaurant experience.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :
Must have the ability / stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.Ability to stand / walk for up to 10 hours per day.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Will frequently walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, carry and lift.Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.Must be able to tolerate potential food allergens, including but not limited to : dairy, eggs, gluten, shellfish, and nuts.
