Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team. The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, machinery, or equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace faulty parts such as brakes, steering, suspension, engines, transmissions, or other components.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment / vehicles meet compliance standards.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Operate tools, diagnostic instruments, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive / diesel / industrial mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license REAL ID required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, or working in confined spaces.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and parts safely.
Preferred Skills
- ASE certification or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, or specialized machinery.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking software.
