Position Summary

Anakeesta is looking for a hands-on, highly organized Events & Group Coordinator to bring our private events and group visits to life! This person will be a key player in executing memorable guest experiences—from setting up elegant banquets to welcoming tour buses at the front gate. This position is responsible for setting up and staffing various events sold by the sales staff for all properties within the organization. This position works directly with internal departments and various rental companies to meet the contracted needs for each event. With direction from the Sales Manager, the event coordinator will develop event plans along with other internal department staff to accommodate the needs of our customers. Key Responsibilities

Private Events

• Coordinate and execute set-up and tear-down for private banquet and group events at Anakeesta and WildSide.
• Manage private event timelines and stay on-site during events as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments and attend pre-event planning meetings with the Sales Manager.
• Responsible for keeping the park teams up to date with any event changes.
• Assist client with menu development and oversee execution of food / beverage details on the day of the event in collaboration with the Banquet Captain.
• Work through details with event hosts including room layouts, tech requests, décor, transportation, entertainment, etc.
• Ensure all signage, décor, and event materials are organized and in place before the event, and removed, cleaned, and stored properly afterward.
• Conduct post-event meeting with client to and banquet teams to search for areas of opportunity.
• Support school group performances (band / choir) with seating prep.
