Director, Software Engineering

The Director Software Engineering role is a combination of hands-on iterative software development and coaching people – to be successful, we are looking for someone that enjoys both to support building great software that is valuable and that people love to use. You will be hands on, write code and actively coach Full Stack Developers and Software Engineers on your team(s). You will also be empowered to work with your peers and other senior leaders to continuously improve the culture, architecture patterns, operating environments, tools and pipelines at Hertz.

What You’ll Do :

• Lead a team of engineers to build applications that enable seamless digital experiences for our customers
• Mentor engineers and work with them on their career paths

What We’re Looking For :

We expect the starting salary to be around $190,000 with annual bonus eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.
