In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech / Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and administration to ensure the success of Spero students.   Duties and Responsibilities :

Lead and plan classroom social skills groups (3-15 students per group) using predetermined social skills curriculum Prepare and instruct individualized articulation and language sessions Lead and plan classroom social skills groups (3-15 students per group) using predetermined social skills curriculum Prepare and instruct individualized articulation and language sessions Teach functional life skills classes Direct intervention services to students in the least restrictive environment (including classroom-based service) Indirect intervention and consultative services to teachers and school staff Other site-based and special education duties, including support of district literacy goals Promote play and development of problem-solving skills Case management for students with speech and language impairments only    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
