Production Planner
This position is onsite in our Denver, CO facility
Birdon is seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Production Planner to join our team and ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the production process. The Production Planner will develop detailed production schedules which define the timing of detailed tasks within the production process and need date for production materials to the production floor. The emphasis of planning will be on the delivery of production materials for the production process. The Production Planner will also maintain the flow of production schedule information during the production process.
Essential Functions Include ( but not limited to ) :
- Perform planning and production tasks, anticipate program needs, and expedite material and tool requirements for production, manufacturing, and assembly operations.
- Responsible for the coordination of production material flow from warehouse to the production floor in a timely manner and in support of the production schedule. Works closely with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure materials are ordered and delivered in a manner that supports the production schedule.
- Responsible for developing, coordinating, and communicating the daily production schedule including the creation and release of work orders.
- Owns production orders from start to finish, recording time and output and troubleshooting any discrepancies immediately with a common goal of correcting the problems. Accurate and timely completion of production orders.
- Maintain the ERP system integrity to drive material and production schedules and execute processes per requirements. Interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing and management to provide timely status of work products and / or problem identification and resolution. Maintain ERP system parameters including material master data and performance criteria.
Qualifications Include ( but not limited to ) :
High school diploma or GED with appropriate experience. Bachelor’s or associate degree with appropriate experience preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience of MRP experience is a mandatory requirement.Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.Complete understanding and application of MRP principles, concepts, practices, and standards.Ability to resolve problems using established procedures and policies and common sense..Create solutions, procedures, and policies while working with various departments.Strong communication skills and effective at building relationships at all levels.Prior experience in a small organization, demonstrating abilities with multiple objectives and multitasking efforts.Birdon is committed to the HEALTH and SAFETY of our workforce and to the ENVIRONMENT we expect this same commitment from all employees.
